Most organizations raise money by asking for cash, time, and/or energy via product sales, and car washes. Such time consuming activities require tremendous effort from the participants and produce a very small return. The Heart of Gold Fundraiser asks for none of the above. This fundraiser simply asks for something people no longer want: broken gold jewelry. Most people have broken pieces of gold jewelry (i.e., rings, earrings, necklaces, coins, watches, even gold teeth) just sitting around collecting dust. Such items are often thought to be worth nothing because they may be broken or very small. But if everyone within your organization were to combine their small amount of broken gold, the value increases substantially. What most people don't realize is that the average class ring has approximately $40 worth of gold in it! |
How Does The Heart Of Gold Fundraiser Work?
It's simple. We send you all the necessary materials to run The Heart of Gold Fundraiser in your organization. You promote the fundraiser among your community for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Once the collection period is over, you place the gold in the return shipping box we provide you, and ship the box and its contents back to us. Once we receive the gold, we sort it by karat, weigh it, and immediately write your organization a check for the value of your gold.
